Pirotecnia Internacional & the art of lightning the sky

On January 26th, we received in our warehouse the artist Beatriz Canfield (Mexico, 1972).
Beatriz is an active member of the Artists and Creators National System and has exhibited her work in several galleries in USA, Europe and Mexico, for over 15 years now.
The main goal of her visit is to start an artistic project of hers, which shows the potential of the powder, and other explosive elements, as capable of showing and providing a new meaning to the act of construction and destruction of matter.
In Pirotecnia Internacional we have always had a special relationship with the art of lightning the sky, wich made very attractive for us to work with Beatriz Canfield.
For us, the goal is simple: experiment, learn and get amazed by this.
It was, properly speaking, about the acts in which the interaction of the idea (Canfield work), and the diverse objects previously selected, provide a new meaning to the notion of “matter” after the intervention of the powder and the other explosive agents.
Results went better than expected. We made art+technique experiences, in which we found the possible origins of the most beautiful artworks, along with the most spectacular fireworks.
